Hello,
I am the Program Librarian at the South Kingstown Public Library/Peace Dale. We have recently acquired a copy of your book A History of the Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island: Keepers of the Bay. I am writing to find out out if you would be interested in speaking here about it, and what would be involved in arranging an event. I would be looking for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon during the fall.
Best of luck with the weather this weekend.
Thank you.

Whiteknact PTA,
In your book “Historic Rhode Island Farms,” Chapter 5, you have a photo of a stable and carriage house in Albion village. Can you please tell me where in the village this is, or was, located? Love the book, by the way. Nice work.
Hi Bob, I’m afraid that’s a typo- the stable is in Arnold Mills -off Nate Whipple Highway, corner of Arnold Mills Rd.
Bob
Thank you. I didn’t think it was in the village, but maybe the farms.
Your blog is a find. I wonder if you’ve stumbled across the name Abraham Cross (born 1772 in South Kingston) and whether the Cross surname was common among Narragansetts and/or African Americans. Also, was there an exodus of Narragansett to Griswold, CT? According to the census, Abraham and his wife, Elizabeth Primus left RI and settled in CT.
Hello, I’ll look the name up, and let you know if I find anything-what did you want to know specifically?
Enjoyed reading about Mark Rock near where I have just moved
Thanks Mark, I hope you might have an opportunity to stop by the Warwick Historical Society, off Harrison Ave. on Roger Williams Circle. Henry A.L. Brown is our resident expert on Mark Rock, and could provide a lot of stories…
